Vegetables are easy to get snacks. Fryers always provide it, both fried brokers passing by in housing, or those who use a wheelbarrow or are on the side of the road.

Buying fried foods is practical. no need to be tired and make the kitchen mess. Immediately delicious, hihihi ... That was what I used to do in the past when I was living in a boarding house.

but one thing that makes doubts about buying fried foods, which is when they see the oil which is black in color, is still used for frying. In addition, what worries more is the issue of the plastic mixture in the oil.

if you remember all that, it feels calmer to make it yourself, even though it's a bit troublesome. At least if we make our own use of new oil. So we can eat without anxiety.

bakwan sayur is made from vegetables mixed with flour and a little water, then fried with lots of oil. The types of vegetables also vary greatly, depending on each taste.

I always like to use carrots in the bakwan that I make, because carrots contain vitamin A and make bakwan become sweet. That way we don't need to add sugar in the bakwan. because the use of sugar in bakwan only makes bakwan easier to burn when fried.

Bean sprouts are also mandatory for me, because bean sprouts are vegetables that are high in protein. I also try to make more vegetables and flour. so even if the form is only cheap snacks, at least it can still be tried to remain healthy and nutritious.

Here's the vegetable bakwan recipe that I often make:

Vegetable bakwan recipe (bala-bala)

For: 15 bakwan

Material:

100 g carrots, peeled and thin drawstring

100 g bean sprouts, wash and drain

3 pieces of cabbage leaves, remove the leaves and slice thinly

2 stems of leeks, thinly sliced

1 egg, shake it off

100 ml of ice water (using ice water will make bakwan crisper)

6-7 tablespoons of flour or sufficient

1 tbsp liquid margarine (to make it more savory)

the oil for frying

ground spices:

4 cloves garlic

1/2 tsp rounded pepper

11/3 tsp salt

How to make:

1.beat the eggs with fine spices, then add ice water, mix well then add the flour little by little, stir again until even and the mixture is thick enough, then add the vegetables, do not forget to include the liquid margarine. (if the mixture is thick enough, no flour is needed).

2. Try the dough is thick enough, not too runny, so the bakwan is not very soft, also do not get too thick. If it is too thick later when fried in the middle it will be difficult to mature.

3prepare enough frying oil because the bakwan must be completely submerged in oil when fried.

4..taste and correct the taste first, how to put a little mixture into the hot oil, fry until cooked and then lift, let it cool slightly and feel whether the salt and pepper are right. if you have, you can start to fry a spoonful after a spoonful. give enough distance so that they don't stick together.

5. Fry until done and continue to work until the whole mixture is finished frying. Serve warm with cayenne pepper.
